Researching keywords and SEO

Researching keywords and SEO is very important for your blog to get noticed.  You want to make sure people searching for certain keywords see your blog on the first page of google.  Now, here's the step by step way to make sure that happens.

1.  Google "keyword tool" and click on the google keyword tool.
2. Start another tab and just go to google.
3. Go back to the keyword tool and type in a keyword.
4. Make sure at least 1,000 or more people are searching for that keyword in google.
5. Go to your Google tab and type in your keyword in "quotations".
6. Make sure there are less than 10,000 results in google.

If your first keyword doesn't match the criteria, they give you keyword suggestions.  Search for those keywords as well and keep track of all the keywords that give you those results.

Now, it's time to use your keyword in your blog post.  When researching keywords and using SEO, you want to make sure you use the keyword THREE times and THREE times only IN your post (I say in your post because you should use it as your title but that doesn't count in your post).  If you use more than three keywords, google may see your blog as spam and penalize it by not letting it show up in google at all.  You don't want that!

I usually use the keyword in the first sentence of the blog post, in the middle and in the last paragraph of the post.  You may find other sources out there that will tell you different but this is what gives me the best results.  Also, use the keyword in your post label or tag.

Now you have a better understanding of researching keywords and SEO (see how I used the keyword in the post?).  Go ahead and write a keyword post!
